In order to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak and in connection to partial undertaking of high-alert preparedness, the Government of Mongolia decided on 13 February 2020 to suspend all passenger traffic through auto and railroad border checkpoints between Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China, as well as Buyant-Ukhaa airway port (Chinggis Khaan International Airport) effective from 15 February through 02 March 2020.
During the above-mentioned imposed period, the Ministry may facilitate cross-border movement of Mongolian and Chinese nationals wishing to repatriate through all bilateral auto road border crossings between Mongolia and China, while the arrangement can be made for the third country nationals and stateless persons who wish to travel to the People’s Republic of China through international auto road border crossings between Mongolia and China.
